A year ago it would have been nearly laughable to think that I was going to win ‘Member of the Month’ at a gym. Fast forward 12 months and you can’t keep me out of the place!
I have now been a member of F.I.T since November 2009. Since starting at the gym, with the aid of healthy eating, I have managed to lose 20 kilograms. I have also become fitter and healthier in the process.
I never thought I would actually enjoy exercise; it was always something that fell in the ‘too hard’ basket. Now I try to do at least 4 to 5 classes a week, usually RPM, Pump, Zumba and Body Combat. I have also found myself enjoying using the cardio equipment and free weights.
I love the fact that Goolwa F.I.T offers more than just classes and great equipment. In my time as a member I have also completed Bootcamp, the New Body Challenge and personal training.
Being a member of F.I.T has made me realise that exercise, with healthy eating, is essential for a happy life, and I thank the team for that. - Kelly
